It’s Friday. After a long week at work after the holidays, sit back and enjoy our NHL Gambling pick for tonight’s game. It’s all about the Golden Knights.
We picked up our first NHL gambling win since we started counting. I’ll get to that a bit later, but it’s nice to get a win. Because why else would you come read this? To see how bad we are? No one actually likes a hate read.
So we’re puttin’ in some work to get you some daily dog picks that can win. Tonight’s pick is the Vegas Golden Knights to win on the road to the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Chicago Blackhawks are in a rough space. After last seasons first round exit and the moves they made to roster a team that fit under the cap, we thought we’d see a bounce-back team. But at the halfway mark of the 2017-18 season, we haven’t yet seen a resurgent Blackhawks team.
Just look at their last five games, 2-2-1. Perfectly .500. And perfectly .500 won’t get you into the playoffs. And that’s what the Blackhawks need to do at a minimum. And they welcome one of the hottest teams in the league in the Vegas Golden Knights.
A team that is, of course, dominant at home with a 17-2-1 record, but are comfortable on the road with a 10-8-1 record. The Blackhawks will find it tough against the Golden Knights. What the Hawks do best is generate shots, a ton of them.
They lead the league with an average 34.74 shots for in a game. And with all those shots Chicago is still has a hard time generating goals, scoring on only 8.6% of their shots. But what the Golden Knights do well is limit shot opportunities by allowing a 7th ranked shots against of 30.67.
Vegas will come out on top by stifling the Blackhawks offence and generating enough of their own with what little of the puck they have. We don’t give predictions, but a 3-2 OT win for the Golden Knights.
Stats So Far (1/3) – 33%
Ideally, we want to float around the 55-60% success rate margin. Meaning we get more write than we get wrong. And more importantly, we’re making some green. Or multiple coloured denominations if you’re in Canada.
With a dominating performance by the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night, we took our first step in three nights towards that winning record. The Canes beat the struggling Penguins 4-0 on the night. Moving us to 1/3 since we started counting.
We still have a way to go, but we’re off the blocks. Look out.
