We’re back for another week of NHL gambling. Our Monday edition of Bet of The Night hopes to bank on a team that’s been lights out and is still the dog on the night.
We know that when it comes to NHL gambling, Vegas always gives the advantage to the home team. That’s fair. Home-ice advantage is a real thing. Calls tend to go the home team’s way, they get last change, and the 10-20 thousand people sitting to watch are a real momentum generator.
That’s why the Winnipeg Jets are the dogs against the Nashville Predators on Monday. The fact that Winnipeg has a superior, although marginally superior record doesn’t matter. They’re a road team and so they immediately get the disadvantage.
But a 70 spread seems ridiculous. Winnipeg is at +125 and Nashville at -145. Especially when you consider that Winnipeg, the second ranked team in the Central Division is on a four game win streak. So I’m putting my bet of the night on Winnipeg.
Bet Of The Night
ARZ +185 @ -225 TOR
CGY +125 @ -145 WAS
CBJ -160 @ +140 BUF
WPG +125 @ -145 NAS Bet Of The Nigh
NJD +150 @ -170 MIN
ANA +160 @ -210 SJS
How could you. The team is absolutely flying right now. Mark Sheiffele, Patrik Laine, Nikolaj Ehlers, and Blake Wheeler are absolutely killing it this early in the season. They have 77 points between the four of them, with Wheeler leading the group with five goals and 20 helpers.
Add that goaltender Connor Hellebuyck is putting up 2.27 GAA and a 0.931 SV% and the Jets look incredibly dangerous, even for a team like the Nashville Predators
